Q: The Compact Personal Light does not switch on right out of the package.

A: There are several possible reasons that a Compact Personal Light will not switch on right out of the package. Please go over the following checklist carefully: Check the battery orientation. When inserting the batteries, be sure the positive (+) terminal is inserted first into the light. This is different than our Handheld Lights. Since LED has polarity setting, the light will not function if the batteries are inserted in the opposite direction. If the battery is inserted correctly but still does not switch on, please check if the battery is working properly. Screw the tail-cap all the way into the body until it stops since the metal plate inside the tail-cap must be able to conduct with the body in order for the light to switch on. Inspect the inside of the tail-cap to ensure no foreign particle is blocking the conduction. If you are still experiencing difficulties, please contact our customer service department.
