Q: The xenon light does not switch on right out of the package.
A: There are several possible reasons that a xenon light will not switch on right out of the package. Please go over the following checklist carefully:

  • The light source of the xenon light is a gas-filled bulb. It is similar to a conventional automobile headlamp except in a smaller glass dome. Sometimes the gas in these bulbs will leak out during assembly, causing the bulb to burn out as soon as it is switched on. To determine whether the bulb has burned up, look inside the head and check the color of the glass dome. If it is cloudy or gray out, it is probably burned out. If you have purchased the light within 10 days, please contact our customer service department for assistance. A proof of purchase is required for a new xenon lamp assembly. You can also purchase new xenon lamp assemblies online.

  • Check if the batteries are working properly.

  • If your light has a tail button switch, check the integrity of the tail-cap switch to determine if it is working properly.

  • If you have an alternate tail-cap, switch out to rule out the possibility that the tail-cap is defective. If you are interested in purchasing additional tail-caps to expand the functionality of the light you current have, they can be purchased online.
