Q: The LED light does not switch on right out of the package.

A: There are several possible reasons that a LED light will not switch on right out of the package. Please go over the following checklist carefully: Check the battery orientation. When inserting the batteries, be sure the positive (+) terminal faces outward toward the tail-cap end. This is different than how one will insert the batteries normally. PentagonLight™ has engineered the light to accept the batteries in the reversed direction for improving its resistance against shock. Since LED has polarity setting, the light will not function if the batteries are inserted in the opposite direction. Check if the batteries are working properly. If your light has a tail button switch, check the integrity of the tail-cap switch to determine if it is working properly. If you have an alternate tail-cap, switch out to rule out the possibility that the tail-cap is defective.
