Our L3 is a heavy duty flashlight that can be easily considered for replacing conventional rechargeable lights. L3 utilizes a powerful 5-Watt Luxeon LED as the light source. The onboard electronics will attempt to regulate the power delivered to the LED to the maximal possible level, ensuring L3 to perform at peak brightness whenever possible. The design philosophy behind L3 is on making a compact and light weight flashlight with the same heavy duty construction of every PentagonLight™, capable of producing powerful light output over extended period of time by utilizing three CR123A lithium batteries, sufficient for those conducting street patrols. The central element of L3 is being able to provide long runtime, which means less hassle of daily charging chore and without the need of constantly replacing the lithium batteries. L3 has elegantly balanced both, making it an ideal replacement candidate against rechargeable lights for your duty needs. Furthermore, unlike incandescent lamps that will cut off the light output whenever the battery power has diminished below recharging level, the LED used by L3 will instead slowly reduces its output over 5 to 6 hours, giving enough time for changing out the batteries without surprises.
Its small form factor coupled with 65 lumens of eye-blinding light has made eX2 a great backup light for any policeman on street patrol. Powered by two CR123A lithium batteries that have 10 years of shelf-life, you can be sure there is always illumination when the primary rechargeable duty light has ran out of battery.
