Description
As a LED-based tactical light with sophiscated onboard electronics to provide constant current regulation, UL208 system produces 85 lumens at peak brightness for 90 minutes. This duration is followed by 3 hours of diminishing brightness at an usable level. Unlike incandescent tactical lights, such extended duration prevents sudden "black-out" during the most critical time when battery is depleted. As part of the U-Series, UL208 is a turnkey solution to configuring a MP5 without any modification such as replacing the handguard. The UL208 includes a two-piece front sight rail for securing around the front sight of a MP5 and tightened with an Allen wrench. This provides two short segments of the rail. One of the two rails is designed for attaching the thumb screw mount of the light. The other rail on the opposite side can be used for attaching other accessories such as our Z1 Laser Sight. This setup allows quick and easy detachment of the light when illumination is not needed for reducing the overall weight. UL208 is well suited for conducting entries and urban conflicts as LED provides powerful illumination for close range supports and target identifications.
