Description
MD2 LED LaserLight is a rugged and sophisticated tactical illumination system designed from the ground up for rifle mounting. MD2 integrates two essential elements into one compact system: close quarter tactical illumination and target designation. This integration of the light and visible red laser with the ultra compact cross bolt screw weapon mount reduces the overall form factor. The mount easily engages and disengages the entire unit from the Picatinny rail for reducing preparation complexity, and allows quick and easy system maintenance. As a 6-volt tactical light system, MD2 LED LaserLight is pre-configured with a high power LED primary light that is electronically regulated to sustain maximum brightness at 120 lumens for 90 minutes. There are numerous advantages of LED lights for tactical operation. LED is shockproof against weapon recoil. It has thousands of hours of lifetime which means it will not burned out requiring bulb replacement during the most critical time. The light source is protected by an anti-scratch tempered glass lens and is maximally focused at factory for achieving the greatest distance and center brightness. MD2 LED LaserLight features an offset visible red laser sight for target assistance and threat deterrence. The laser can be calibrated for windage and elevation with a laser bore sight kit. The laser sight module is interchangeable with an optional side LED light for providing supplemental IR source, low visibility red light, or reduced signature NVG-compatible light. Manufactured by high precision CNC machine from aerospace grade aluminum with anti-abrasive, anti-corrosive, and anti-reflective military spec Type III hard anodized exterior finish, MD2 LED LaserLight is rugged and durable for illumination in the most critical environments. The anti-reflective finish reduces glare and minimizes signature for ensuring stealth. MD2 LaserLight is preconfigured with TR6 brightness controllable remote switch tail-cap. The low setting switch momentarily turns on the light at low light output, just enough for staging and navigation prior to assault. Pressing the pad switches the light on high output. Under duress, pressing both low and high switches turns on the light at high setting. Clicking the constant-on switch turns on the light at high output and stays on. All switches are at finger length distance for easy and instant operation. The independent MTC2 sidepod tail-cap switch easily activates the offset laser and can be placed in constant-on position for calibration. Since the laser is offset from the rail, its tail switch can be easily activated via thumb action when a vertical handgrip is installed. All connections are sealed with double O-rings for fail-safe protection against water leakage. Each MD2 LaserLight is individually serialized for inventory control. The unit can be easily serviced in the field with an optional Field Service Kit. The front tempered glass lens can be easily replaced if it is damaged during an unexpected frontal impact. MD2 LaserLight is the choice for the military and law enforcement when close quarter tactical illumination and precision are both at the top of consideration.
