Description
Red light is a low-signature light, which ensures stealth in the darkness. It is also a necessity for any pilots, vehicle operators, and other specialists who need to preserve night vision when reading charts, maps, and going over checklists. The use of a red filter over the beam of a conventional flashlight creates a narrowly focused hot spot that overly affects night vision and projects excessive red light into distance, thus compromising stealth. The advantage of S2 Red is in its effective light diffusion, which provides a wide area coverage of red light with excellent close range light intensity. Unlike conventional LED flashlights that may only have 4 or 5 LED's, S2 Red is a professional grade alternative light source that features 19 red LED's tightly packed into a 1.25" head for being one of the world's most compact and powerful 19-LED lights. S2 Red is therefore a great light for use around high security premises under guard in the fields and around camps. S2-Red does not need to be just a dedicated red light, since its head is interchangeable for alternate light sources from a diverse selection of conversion heads available separately, so your initial investment for a high quality flashlight is maximized. S2 Red is crafted out of aerospace grade aluminum tube using precision CNC machine in anti-reflective, anti-abrasive, and anti-corrosion military spec Type III hard anodized exterior finish in olive drab color. S2 Red is operable by our TC-2 Push On/Off PentagonLight™ signature switch. It is housed in our pentagonal shape anti-roll tail-cap making it easy for one-hand operation. Optional tail-caps are available for additional switching functions, including momentary on/off tail-cap and swivel belt-clip tail-cap. Two PentagonLight™ CR-123A lithium batteries with 10-year shelf-life are included.
